Sales from each Longhorn ‘No Farmers, No Food’ 1/4 Zip Sweat will supporting the farming charity ‘Field Nurse’.

The Field Nurse Charity (charity number 1179627) was set up in 2016 by a collective of local individuals with a common purpose of reducing the identified risks of physical health of those living in rural areas, since then the project has been going from strength to strength. Some of the local individuals who set up the Field Nurse Charity had previously worked within the rural community and had spent time travelling around working on isolated rural farms and very much recognised the need to support farmers.

One of the key focus areas for Field Nurse is mental wellbeing. In farming communities there is often a negative perception of mental health issues which can create a barrier to accessing help. This can be made worse by rural isolation which is widespread amongst the farming population. The nurses provide support for mental health issues and signpost people accordingly to various organisation.
